Abstract
UNIVERSITY, Miss. — Claiming more than 1 million lives and billions of dollars in health- care costs and lost productivity every year, malaria ranks right at the top of the world's health problems. So it seems fitting that the search for new malaria cures has attracted one of the largest research awards in The University of Mississippi's (UM) history.
