Abstract
UNIVERSITY, Miss. -- For centuries, the fabled star of Bethlehem has stood both as a mystery for astronomers and a powerful symbol for Christians. But the popular image of a blazing star-- epitomized in Christmas carols and greeting cards-- probably is all wrong.
