Abstract
UNIVERSITY, Miss. -- Dr. Alexander H.-D. Cheng, a specialist in ground water and the mechanics of porous material, is the new chairman of The University of Mississippi's (UM) Department of Civil Engineering. At the University of Delaware for eight years, Cheng assumed his UM post in mid-August.
