Abstract
UNIVERSITY, Miss. -- Millions of Americans use herbal products such as St. John's wort, echinacea, and Ginkgo biloba in hopes of improving memory or warding off colds, pushing sales of these products to $4 billion last year. Scientific understanding of most botanical dietary supplements, often termed herbals, is limited, but University of Mississippi (UM) researchers are looking for answers.
