Abstract

UNIVERSITY, Miss. - If spoken words were visible, would they pile up in heaps? Would we need to sort and stack them or sweep the old ones aside whenever we wanted to speak again? "Word Pile," a thought-provoking work of art, is among an array of intriguing installations by Amy Hinten, a New York City-based artist who shows a sampling of her work at The University of Mississippi (UM) March 4-21.
