Abstract
UNIVERSITY, Miss. -- Modern soldiers rely on an increasingly high-tech array of gadgets in combat, but they still bleed to death at roughly the same rate as their Civil War counterparts. A device using sound waves to improve those odds is being developed at the University of Mississippi.
