Abstract

Men of Excellence provides programming and support which enhance the personal growth and holistic success of Men of Color at the University of Mississippi. The organization intends to encourage, cultivate, and honor confidence, integrity, self-respect, and self-esteem to prepare MOX members to serve as positive role models and mentors for the campus and surrounding communities. Men of Excellence welcomes all who are committed to brotherhood, faith, perseverance, and mentorship. The purpose of MOX is to use mentoring to abridge the opportunity/achievement gap for Men of Color at the University of Mississippi.
