Abstract
Do you want to help your neighbors when they need it most? Would you like to help children and youth learn as well as become successful members of your community? Sure you do! How? By supporting your United Way! Last year, the United Way of Oxford-Lafayette County (UWOLC) used your contributions to touch the lives of more than 20,000 people in the Lafayette-Oxford-University (LOU) community. We believe everyone deserves opportunities to have a good life: a quality education that leads to a stable job, enough income to support a family through retirement, and good health.
You can volunteer for one of the many United Way partner agencies and projects, you can advocate for lasting change in Lafayette County, and you can give in several different ways. Every tax-deductible donation, no matter how small, helps our community improve the lives of our residents.
Payroll deduction is a convenient way to make donations and spread your payments throughout the year. A small deduction from each pay period adds up to make a large impact. Consider a “Fair Share” donation — that is, one hour’s pay per month.
If you can, consider joining the 100+ Leadership Givers from the university. If you are 35 years old or younger, your donation of $250 allows you to be an Emerging Leadership Giver. Your payroll deduction card tells you how!
