Abstract
Each semester, the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning sponsors a Graduate Reading Group. The group meets three to four times over the course of the semester to discuss the chosen book. We’ll provide the book and the lunch; you come with thoughts and questions. This spring, the Graduate Reading Group will tackle the classic How Learning Works: Eight Research-Based Principles for Smart Teaching, by Marsha C. Lovett, Michael W. Bridges, Michele DiPietro, Susan A. Ambrose, and Marie K. Norman. (The group met in Lamar Hall 323 on three Fridays from 12:00-1:00 p.m.: February 23, March 22, andd April 12, 2024.)
