Abstract

When we think about teaching neurodiverse learners, the topic of executive function often arises. In this workshop, we’ll define this concept and contextualize its importance in college classrooms. We’ll then share practical strategies for supporting students’ (and your!) executive functioning through intentional learning design choices. Attendees can expect to leave with a deeper understanding of the role of executive function in learning contexts and how to help improve this skill. Lunch will be provided for registered participants.
