Rowan Oak front view. Typed below photograph: The old Shegog Manse. I made in late 1920's. This was before William Faulkner bought and remodeled same, and consequently re-named it Rowan Oak. It sits across the street from the old Jacob Thompson mansion, now known as Marworth). They were both built about the same time, in 1848.
