Marching band on the square. Typed on photograph: The general and his staff salute the colors here as they pass 1946. Typed below photo: Oxford Welcomes its top hero home (from World War II). General Dan Isom Sultan, of the Burma Theatre (his headquarters at New Delhi, India). He succeeded ol' General Vinegar Jow Stillwell (after Stillwell had a row with the Pentagon and FDR, eh?).
