Description
The corn crib contains two rooms. Inside the room closest to the gate, I found yellow chairs and an empty bottle of white port. The room closer to the hay baler was nearly bare. Dust, dead leaves, and corn cobbs littered the floor. Before construction, this was where the black buzzard slept. The corn crib, once restored, will be a bridge between this onetime mule farm and Greenfield Farm Writers Residency. Vestiges like this can be as inspiring as the brilliant quiet of the landscape.
