Abstract
BlackRock is not a household financial name in American culture today. Most people think of Goldman Sachs. JPMorgan Chase, or Bank of America instead. However. BlackRock. founded in 1988. has the most assets under management in the world with $4.3 trillion and more than likely will be deemed a systemically important financial institution soon. As this research shows, BlackRock has a globalized, diverse, and booming business, but it needs to improve in the following three ways: 1. Obtain greater technological expertise on the board of directors 2. Gain an online brokerage presence 3. Diversify its revenue streams In spite of these needed improvements, BlackRock still represents the ideal asset management company. In fact, it's the gold standard.
