Abstract

In my thesis I explore the treatment of medicine in literature. I have analyzed six works of literature and drawn from others to create this piece of scholarship. Over the past year and a half, I have read thousands of pages from classic literature, modem mystery, and personal accounts. They have all broadened my view of the medical field and the doctor-patient relationship. I am better prepared to begin my medical training and career for having taken part in this venture.
