Description
Television program "The Mike Wallace Interview" with guest U.S. Senator James O. Eastland. Includes Wallace's endorsements of Philip Morris cigarettes. The interview covers civil rights, segregation, and race relations; history of the South with regards to slavery and Reconstruction; communist propoganda against the United States; integration of public schools; voting registration; Ku Klux Klan; John Kaspar's Seaboard White Citizens Council; and a southern filibuster of the civil rights bill. Philip Morris cigarette commercial at the end of the program followed by a discussion of the next week's program on the dispute between baseball players and owners.
