Stennis speaking at the 1976 Legislative Banquet in Jackson, Mississippi (Part 1 of 2)'' Unidentified man introduces Eastland who speaks about his tenure in the Mississippi Legislature: drafting tax bills, Governor Theodore G. Bilbo, electing a Speaker of the House, relations between the legislature and Bilbo, on being presented to President Franklin D. Roosevelt, the New Deal, Mississippi legislature impeaching public officials, appropriations, and salary of legislators. Unidentified man introduces Stennis who speaks about his time in the state legislator: state deficit, running for Senate, Governor Theodore G. Bilbo, Mississippi Forestry Commission, and appropriations.
