Abstract
The Medical Center environment offers some unique and challenging opportunities for those in the Statistical Sciences that are quite different from the experiences of those in industry, government and more traditional academic environments. We present some observations and experiences that will help students understand the role of the statistician as a collaborative investigator in a Medical Center environment.
