Description
This image is taken from a photograph of the original library at the University of Mississippi. The library opened in Ventress Hall in 1889. The image itself possibly dates from 1897 or 1909. In the back of the room, you can zoom into a calendar for January with the 1st on a Friday. This image is also used in an online exhibit available here.
