Interview conducted by author Jere Nash with lobbyist Scott Levanway in the process of writing Mississippi Politics: The Struggle for Power, 1976-2006. Topics discussed include 1987 highway bill; Levanway's work for the Mississippi Legislature; working in legislative redistricting office in 1980; Henry Kirksey; Aaron Henry; congressional redistricting; Levanway's career as a lobbyist; Mississippi highway program; taxation of casinos and distribution of revenues between state and local communities; Haley Barbour; tort reform; Tim Ford; Meredith, Sonny; and increased partisanship in the state legislature.
