Description

Interview conducted by author Jere Nash with product liability lawyer Richard Scruggs in the process of writing Mississippi Politics: The Struggle for Power, 1976-2006. Topics covered include Scruggs' relationship with various Mississippi lawyers and public officials and his participation in asbestos and tobacco litigation. The latter court battle resulted in a $3.4 billion dollar settlement with the state of Mississippi in 1997. Part 2 of 2 recordings.
