Meaningful and Memorable: Building Lifetime Writers through Authentic and Engaging Assignments
Audience Level: Early Childhood, Elementary
As teachers, our main goal is to inspire and motivate our students while developing a love for literacy in them that will last a lifetime. So, how can we make sure we are achieving this goal? In order to build lifetime writers, we need to make sure we are providing them with exciting and authentic writing opportunities in the classroom. In this session, teachers will learn various methods they can utilize with their students to get them excited about writing. They will explore and discuss different writing strategies and assignments that can help instill a love for writing in kids and help cultivate lifetime writers.
