Abstract
In this interview, Martin discusses moving to Mississippi with their partner to start Samsara Garden. A Florida native, Martin moved from Brooklyn, New York to Oxford, Mississippi in search of accessible land to start their business. They share how they grew to love the way Mississippi’s climate allowed them to grow a plethora of crops including their most popular item, microgreens. Due to the relationships they forged with the Unitarian Universalist church in Oxford and the farmers market, Martin and their partner were able to cultivate a robust and inclusive community of friends.
