Abstract
To what degree is Portuguese spoken and maintained by populations, mostly Brazilians, in the Southeast and in Georgia? More specifically, what are the linguistic effects of contact between Portuguese, English and, Spanish in this region. Is there an emergent ethnolect of Brazilian English? What is considered the sort of dispersion of Central and South American populations that have come to the state of Georgia. Where do Brazilians fit?
