Lyrics:
First verse
I was strolling to day through a garden, A garden where red roses grow, And sweet mem'ries were rising before me, Sweet mem'ries of long, long ago. Twas there I first met you and gave you my heart, Twas there that you kissed me goodbye, All that I have left now to console me, Are rose mem'ries that never will die.
Chorus
Roses of beautiful memories, Rose mem'ries that never will fade, Mem'ries that always will live in my heart, Though you and I have drifted apart; Come back to me, let us enter again, that wonderful garden so fair, For I've planted my roses of memories, And you'll find them all blooming there.
Second verse
Oh, how well I remember the old days The days when I stroll'd there with you, My heart then was free from all sorrow, For you told me you'd always be true. I go there each day to that garden so fair, For I dream I might see you once more, All the roses bring back pleasant mem'ries Fond mem'ries, rose mem'ries of yore.
(Chorus)
