Description
Image of display case during Space exhibit with photographs of the two observatories on the UM campus: the antebellum Barnard Observatory (completed in 1859) and the WPA-era Kennon Observatory (completed in 1939). Also pictured: a sextant dating from the 1850s, on loan from the University Museums, as well as a photo of the telescope acquired from the Grubb Astronomical Works in Dublin, Ireland in 1893.
