Abstract

UNIVERSITY, Miss. -- William Faulkner lived and wrote in the 20th Century. Many of his novels and short stories dealt with the antebellum and postbellum South of the 19th Century. So what can this Nobel Laureate tell us that might be relevant to the new century in front of us? The question is the subject of the 27th annual Faulkner and Yoknapatawpha Conference at The University of Mississippi July 23-28.
