Abstract

UNIVERSITY, Miss. -- "Dear Willie," the young Arkansan wrote in December 1971 ... "Am still doing dull law school, laying the foundation for who knows what, but it will be done with a good spirit and a wry grin." The letter, from then Yale law student William Jefferson Clinton, closes with "Hope You're Well, Best, Bill." This and other examples of VIP correspondence, as well as notes from anonymous dog lovers, school children, servicemen, good old boys and others, comprise the "Willie Morris Letters Collection" on display at The University of Mississippi J.D. Williams Library.
