Abstract
UNIVERSITY, Miss. --To many, gospel music soothes the soul and replaces the doldrums with sweet spirits. The word "gospel" actually comes from an Old English word meaning "good news." If you haven't been introduced to this genre of music but are interested in creating your own sampler, take a little inspiration from some members of the Grammy Award-nominated University of Mississippi (UM) Gospel Choir.
