Working Papers in Linguistics

Aims & Scope

The primary objective of Working Papers in Linguistics is to promote, support, and enhance the research projects of graduate students in the Department of Modern Languages at the University of Mississippi. The Working Papers in Linguistics also aims to generate recognition for graduate student research, as well as grants these students the opportunity to further develop their professional skills and experience first-hand the publication process.

The WPL Journal welcomes submissions of manuscripts and book reviews for consideration that are concentrated on the following areas:

  • Applied Linguistics
  • First and Second Language Acquisition
  • English, German Russian, Italian, Arabic, Chinese, Korean and Spanish linguistics
  • Other Languages, Societies, and Cultures
  • Bilingual, Multilingual, and Multicultural Education
