Abstract
Achemical index is a map from the set of chemical compounds to the real numbers. There are many kinds of indices in existing literature. Randic index, also called connectivity index (proposed in 1975), is one of the important molecular graph-based structure-descriptors used in the theory of QSAR (quantitative structure-activity relationship), and has closely correlated with many physicochemical properties of chemicals. In this talk, we are going to expose our recent research from a mathematical point of view for general Randic index. Some unsolved problems will be proposed.
