Interview conducted by author Jere Nash with advertising agent Charlie McKellar in the process of writing Mississippi Politics: The Struggle for Power, 1976-2006. Topics discussed include McKellar's background; working as public information officer for General Edwin A. Walker in the 11th Airborne Division; Walker relieved of command for indoctrinating his troops into the John Birch Society and McKellar's later involvement in publicizing the truth behind the events; Godwin Advertisng Agency in Jackson, Mississippi; working for the the Biloxi Herald during Hurricane Camille; Richard Nixon's visit to the Gulf Coast; working publicity for the Bill Waller campaigns in 1967 and 1969; Byron de la Beckwith; Bill Waller's 1971 gubernatorial campaign; William Winter; Mississippi Jaycees; James O.
