Featured here are several examples of cookbooks from the recently donated collection of award-winning author Chris Offutt. This collection includes cookbooks dating from the early 20th century through the present period included in this display are works created by commercial companies as advertisements for their products, such as the circa 1960s work, Dishes Men Like, sponsored by the Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce, as well as a facsimile of the 1915 Economy Cookbook authored by the Imperial Sugar Company. The Offutt Cookbook Collection also showcases several compilations devoted to recipes from distant locales, such as the island of Maui, as well as the Ukraine.
