Description

Liftin' the Lid on Washington was a regular Mississippi radio program with hosts Howard Suttle and Earle Steele. This particular episode features an interview with U.S. Representative Jamie L. Whitten of Mississippi and how his efforts on the House Appropriations Committee managed to save the federal government $1 billion dollars. Part Four discusses the importance of the Appropriations Committee and a salute to Whitten. Includes a brief feature on the Delta Chenille Company in Winona, Mississippi. Part 4 of 4.
